Man shot Feb. 24 while sitting in parked car in Manassas; city police look for suspect

Shortly after midnight on Feb. 24, 2017, an adult male was sitting in his vehicle parked in the area of Burnside Rd and Ashton Ave when he was shot by an unknown person. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was treated at a local hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery. This is an active investigation. Burglary
On Feb. 23, 2017, Manassas City Police responded to the 8600 block of Quarry Rd in reference to an alarm call. On scene, officers located a shattered window, and upon further investigation determined items were missing from the business. Items taken from the business were valued at $1,600.
