Congressman Robert Wittman, U.S. Representative for Virginia’s First Congressional District that includes parts of Prince William County, will host a student Town Hall Meeting at 1:30 p.m., at Northern Virginia Community College’s Woodbridge campus at the Lakeside Theatre in the Seefeldt Building, 2645 College Drive, Woodbridge.
Rep. Wittman will discuss education and workforce issues. The public is invited to attend and will also have the opportunity to ask questions.
Rob Wittman was first elected to serve the First Congressional District of Virginia in December, 2007. He was reelected for his fourth full term in the House of Representatives in November 2014 and is up for reelection Nov. 8.
For almost 30 years, he has served in several levels of government, from Montross Town Council to United States Congress. In 1986, Wittman was elected to the Montross Town Council, where he served for 10 years, four of them as Mayor. In 1995, Wittman was elected to the Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors and was elected its Chairman in 2003. In 2005, Wittman was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, where he served until he was elected to Congress in 2007. In the U.S. Congress, Wittman serves on the House Armed Services Committee and the Committee on Natural Resources.
