PWC Police identify homicide victim in Oct. 8 Bayvue Apt. incident; two suspects sought

Prince William County Police Department Detectives from the Homicide Unit have identified the victim in the ongoing homicide investigation which occurred at Bayvue Apartments on Bayside Ave in Woodbridge on October 8. A possible description of two suspects was also developed.

The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information about a homicide which was reported to have occurred at the Bayvue Apartment Complex on Bayside Avenue located in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County.

On October 8 at 5:56PM, officers responded to the Bayvue Apartments located in the 1400 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, an adult male, in front of an apartment building suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No suspects were immediately identified at that time. On October 9, members of the Prince William Police Search & Rescue Team, with assistance from the Virginia State Police, conducted an extensive search of the area. During the investigation, descriptions of two possible suspects were developed. The victim’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Manassas where he was positively identified. The investigation continues.

The victim was identified as Jose Moises GARCIA FLORES, 40, of Woodbridge

Suspect Descriptions:
Black male, unknown age, 5’7” with a thin build and medium complexion
Last seen wearing a gray hooded jacket and blue jeans

Black male, unknown age, with a heavy build and full mustache & beard
Last seen wearing all dark clothing including a black cap with white front
