Two holdups at two motels within 26 minutes of each other - one with masks, one with scarves

**INCIDENTS**

Armed Robbery – On September 27 at 1:42AM, officers responded to the Quality Inn located at 1109 Horner Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The front desk clerk reported to police that two unknown, masked men entered the hotel and approached the desk. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located.
Suspect Descriptions:
White male [armed suspect], approximately 20 years of age, 5’8”, 130lbs, with a thin build
Last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, tan pants, black mask, and green Nike shoes

Black male, approximately 20 years of age, 5’8”, 150lbs, with a thin build and medium complexion
Last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, dark colored jeans, black mask, and white shoes


Armed Robbery – On September 27 at 12:16AM, officers responded to the Ramada Inn located at 4316 Inn St in Triangle (22172) to investigate a robbery. The front desk clerk reported to police that two unknown men entered the hotel and approached the desk. During the encounter, one of the men brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of money, a cell phone, and keys before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported.
Suspect Descriptions:
2 black males, both around 5’9” with thin builds
Both suspects were last seen wearing black hooded sweatshirts and scarves covering their faces

Armed Robbery – On September 27 at 1:03AM, officers responded to the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a robbery, the victim, a 24-year-old man of Dumfries, reported to police that he was walking through a wooded path in the above area when he was approached by an unknown man. During the encounter, the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located.
Suspect Description:
Black male, approximately 30 years of age, 6’1”, 225lbs with a heavy build
Last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt

Strong Armed Robbery – On September 26 at 4:51PM, officers responded to the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 13-year-old male juvenile of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was assaulted and robbed by an unknown suspect somewhere in the Woodbridge area. There were several inconsistencies in the story provided by the victim and the actual location of the incident could not be determined. The victim alleged that he was walking when he was suddenly struck from behind by the suspect who then took his cell phone. The victim sustained a minor injury to his face. The victim only described the suspect as a black male.

Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On September 27 at 2:07AM, officers responded to the 15700 block of Marbury Heights Way in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a shots fired call. The caller reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area. Officers checked the area and located shell casings in the roadway. No injuries or property damage were reported.

Residential Burglary – On September 24 at 7:25PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1400 block of Kentucky Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 2:30PM and 7:00PM.  The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. The front door to the home was found unsecured. No property was reported missing. 

Attempted Residential Burglary – On September 26 at 4:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15100 block of Cloverdale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 12:00AM and 7:00PM, entry was attempted into the residence through a sliding glass door which was found damaged. No entry is believed to have been made into the home and no property was reported missing. 

Attempted Residential Burglary – On September 26 at 3:21PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13000 Queens Chapel Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate an attempted burglary.  The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 8:00AM and 3:00PM, entry was attempted into the residence through a rear door which was found damaged. No entry is believed to have been made into the home and no property was reported missing.
