Prince William County VA Police Department’s report of incidents on Monday, August 29, 2016
**INCIDENTS**
Felony Hit & Run – On August 29 at 3:09AM, officer responded to the 8400 block of Leland Rd in Manassas (20111) to investigate a possible hit and run crash. The caller reported to police that an unknown man was seen lying in the middle of the road. Officers arrived in the area and located the man suffering from extensive injuries to his body. The injuries appeared to be consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
The victim, identified as a 27-year-old man of Manassas, was flown to an area hospital for treatment.
No witnesses immediately came forward having observed the incident and no striking vehicle was located. Residential Burglary – On August 28 at 2:47PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Wharf Ln in Triangle (22172) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 11:30AM on August 25 and 2:30PM on August 28. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a kitchen window which was found damaged. Jewelry and clothing items were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On August 25 at 7:00PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14200 block of Caroline St in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:30PM on August 12 and 7:00PM on August 14. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured basement level sliding glass door. Jewelry was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On August 28 at 4:27PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 2200 block of Scotch Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police sometime between 8:00AM on August 26 and 7:00PM on August 27, entry was attempted into the residence through a deck sliding glass door which was found damaged. A front window screen was also found damaged. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
