**UPDATES**
Double Homicide Investigation *SECOND VICTIM IDENTIFIED – On August 3, detectives from the Homicide Unit received confirmation regarding the identity of the second victim involved in the fatal house fire which occurred at a residence located in the 10300 block of Lomond Dr in Manassas on July 31. The third man who was located nearby suffering from burn injuries is still hospitalized and is expected to survive. The investigation into this incident and the deaths is continuing.

The second victim has been identified as Willian Alexander MOLINA-RIVAS, 36, of Manassas
Double Homicide Investigation [Previously Released] – On July 31 at 12:24AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 10300 block of Lomond Dr in Manassas (20109) to assist the Department of Fire and Rescue with a house fire. During a check of the residence, fire crews located two male victims inside the home. One of the victims, identified as a 17 year old male juvenile, was pronounced dead at the scene while the other victim was flown to an area hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. Four dogs were also located deceased inside the residence and were turned over to Animal Control. A short time later, around 1:45AM, police received a call about a third man, identified as a 35 year old man, walking in the area of Manassas Mall appearing to be injured. Officers arrived and located the man suffering from extensive burns to his body. This man was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries. The remains of the two deceased victims will undergo further analysis at the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine cause of death. The identity of the second deceased man will be released once confirmed and a next of kin has been notified. On July 31, based upon further investigation at the scene, detectives from the Homicide Unit and investigators from the Fire Marshals’ Office determined that this incident was an arson-related double homicide. No arrests have been made at this point in connection to this incident. This investigation is being conducted jointly by the Prince William County Police Homicide Unit and the Department of Fire and Rescue’s Fire Marshals’ Office. The deaths related to this investigation are Prince William County’s 14th and 15th homicide for 2016*. More information will be released when available. The investigation continues.

**INCIDENTS**
Residential Burglary – On August 1 at 6:50PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14700 block of Candlewood Ct in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 10:30AM and 6:20PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured door. A MacBook Pro, camera, shoes, and other property were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On July 31 at 5:44PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8200 block of Vernon St in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:00AM on July 25 and 2:00PM on July 31. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the home. Money and miscellaneous clothing items were reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On July 26 at 2:30AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Creekview Cir Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that an unknown man was observed standing at a rear door with his hand on the door handle. When confronted, the man fled on foot. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.

**ARRESTS**
Fatal Crash Investigation – On August 2 at 9:00PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Aden Rd and Parkgate Dr in Nokesville (20181) to investigate a crash involving a motorcycle. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2001 Acura TL was traveling south on Aden Rd approaching Parkgate Dr. At the same time, the operator of 2002 Suzuki SV650 motorcycle was traveling north on Aden Rd approaching the same intersection. The Acura driver attempted a left turn onto Parkgate Dr from Aden Rd, crossing in front of the motorcycle causing the collision. The collision caused the operator to separate from the motorcycle which struck a third vehicle, a 2015 Honda Civic. The motorcycle operator was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries from the crash. All parties remained at the scene. No other injuries were reported. At this time, speed does not appear to be a factor in this investigation. The motorcycle operator was wearing a helmet at the time of collision. Following the investigation, the driver of the Acura, identified as Cynthia Sheryl ROMAN, was cited for the crash.

The driver of the 2015 Honda Civic was identified as a 25 year old woman of Woodbridge
Malicious Injury by Caustic Substance – On August 2 at 11:12AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 17400 block of Denali Pl in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a domestic dispute. The victim, an 18 year old man, reported to police that other family members, including the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation. During the argument, the victim attempted to intervene to separate the parties when the accused threw bleach on his arm, back, and head. No injuries were reported. The parties eventually separated and police were contacted. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jarica Lashawn PERKINS, was arrested.

Attempted Malicious Wounding – On August 2 at 12:14AM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 18100 block of Purvis Dr in Triangle (22172) to investigate a verbal dispute. The victim, a 33 year old man, reported to police that he and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed a knife and lunged towards the victim. The victim was able to get the knife away from the accused and police were contacted. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as John Clifford BOWEN, was arrested.
