PWC Police connect July 26 suspect in armed robbery and shooting to Feb. 19 robbery

Strong Armed Robbery *ARREST | Armed Robbery and Shooting Investigation *NEW INCIDENT – On July 26 at 1:50PM, officers responded to the 13400 block of Princedale Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting.

When officers arrived, they made contact with four victims: a 14-year-old male juvenile of Woodbridge, a 21-year-old man of Woodbridge, 22-year-old man of Woodbridge, and 23-year-old woman of Florida. The initial investigation revealed that the victims made arrangements to conduct a narcotics transaction with three unknown subjects in the above area.

During the encounter, one of the subjects brandished a handgun and demanded the narcotics. When the victims refused, the suspect took a cell phone from one of the victims. As the suspect was walking away, he fired at the vehicle occupied by the victims. The shots struck the vehicle and a nearby residence in the 5200 block of Miles Ct which was occupied but no injuries were reported.

One of the victims in the vehicle reported minor injuries from debris. The suspect then fled the area in a vehicle. Upon further investigation, detectives with the Robbery Unit identified the suspect as the accused. When detectives with the Street Crimes Unit located the accused later that evening, he attempted to flee but was quickly taken into custody without further incident and a firearm was recovered.

The accused was also wanted in connection to another robbery investigation which occurred in the 4000 block of Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge on February 19. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Strong Armed Robbery [Previously Released]– On February 19 at 4:50PM, officers responded to investigate a robbery which was reported to have occurred in the 4000 block of Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) earlier that afternoon. The victim, an 18-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached by two known men. During the encounter, the men took the victim’s cell phone and money before fleeing on foot. The victim left the area but returned a short time later and contacted police. The investigation continues.
