PWC Police Department K-9 units sniff out suspects in stabbing and armed robbery

Arrests released by Prince William County Police Department on Monday, June 13, 2016

**ARRESTS**

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On June 12 at 12:19AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 11000 block of Doubleday Ln in Manassas (20109) to investigate a stabbing.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 47 year old man of Manassas, was stabbed by the accused, an acquaintance, following an altercation inside the home. Neighbors called police after hearing the victim screaming for help. When officers arrived, they located the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to the upper body. The accused had fled the home after the altercation.

The officers immediately provided medical, life-saving aid to the victim before rescue personnel arrived at the home. The victim was transported to an area hospital with severe, life-threatening injuries.

A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect. While checking the area, an officer spotted the accused and apprehended him after a short foot chase. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jorge GONZALEZ-RODRIGUEZ, was arrested.

Armed Robbery– On June 11 at 7:09PM, officers responded to the 13500 block of Foulger Sq in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery.

The victims, a 23 year old man and 24 year old man both of Woodbridge, reported to police that they met three men in the above area to conduct a drug transaction. During the encounter, one of the suspects brandished a handgun and took marijuana before fleeing the area in a vehicle.

A short time later, an officer located the suspect vehicle driving in the area of Old Bridge Rd and Gordon Blvd. The vehicle eventually stopped in the area of Tyler Cir and Monroe Dr where the suspects bailed out then fled on foot. Additional officers, including a police K-9 and helicopter, were used to search the immediate area for the suspects who were located and detained a short time later without incident.

No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused were arrested.

Charged with robbery, distribution of marijuana, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Kennard Anthony KEELS, 21, of 4704 Pard Rd in Capital Heights, Maryland
Charged with robbery and distribution of marijuana

Devon Marcelo OLIVER, 27, of 12605 Kempston Ln in Woodbridge
Charged with robbery and distribution of marijuana
