At 7 pm on Wednesday, June 22nd, Cong. Rob Wittman (R-VA 1st), Del. Rich Anderson (R-51st), and Supervisor Ruth Anderson (R-Occoquan) will host a joint federal-state-local town hall. The event will be held in the Prince William Board of County Supervisors Chambers at the James J. McCoart Government Center, 1 County Complex, Woodbridge, VA 22192.
During the event, the three elected officials will discuss current issues of interest to citizens, and a question and answer period will follow. The event is an official constituent function that is open at no cost to all citizens of Prince William County, particularly the jurisdictions represented by the three officials. No RSVP is required.
In a press release announcing the town hall, Cong. Wittman, Del. Anderson, and Supervisor Anderson were quoted as saying, jointly, “We are delighted to team up in what may be the first federal-state-local town hall in Prince William County in recent memory. While we will discuss current issues of interest, we want to devote the bulk of our time to a free and open forum at which attendees can ask questions and offer opinions. We sincerely look forward to connecting with those who want to participate in the time-honored tradition of a community town hall.”
Cong. Rob Wittman has represented Virginia’s 1st Congressional District since 2007 and chairs the Readiness Subcommittee of the US House of Representatives’ Armed Services Committee. Del. Rich Anderson is a retired 30-year Air Force officer and represents House of Delegates’ 51st District in the Virginia General Assembly, where he chairs the House Committee on Science and Technology.
