Observant neighbor reports unknown male entering rear of a Lake Ridge residence

**ARRESTS**

Sexual Assault – On May 6, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which occurred at a home located in the 13300 block of Keystone Dr in Woodbridge (22193). The investigation revealed that the victim, a then 12 year old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a family member, on more than one occasion between 2012 and 2013. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without incident. 
Arrested on May 6
Bryan William VEDDER, 39, of the 13300 block of Keystone Dr in Woodbridge
Charged with rape, forcible sodomy, and aggravated sexual battery

Strangulation | Domestic Assault & Battery – On May 8 at 8:00AM, officers responded to a residence in the 12100 block of Tango Ln in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic assault.  The victim, a 38 year old female of Woodbridge, reported to police that she and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation which escalated.  During the encounter, the accused followed the victim to her residence and took her purse. In an attempt to retrieve her purse, the accused grabbed her by the neck and began to choke her. The parties eventually separated and the victim contacted police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

David Daniel GARNER-BROWN, 38, of the 2698 Seville Cr in Woodbridge
Charged with strangulation, domestic assault & battery, and grand larceny

Residential Burglary – On May 6 at 12:53PM, officers responded to a vacant apartment located in the 12600 block of Castile Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary in progress. A resident of Dulcinea Pl reported to police that she observed an unknown man make entry into the rear of the residence.  Officers arrived in the area and located the man, identified as the accused. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence.  Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured rear sliding glass door. No property was reported missing. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested without further incident.

Charged with burglary
