Homicide Investigation *ARRESTS – On May 5, detectives from the Homicide Unit identified four suspects involved in the shooting death of Ishmael MANSARAY which occurred in the 14000 block of Darbydale Ave in Woodbridge on May 4. Following the investigation, the four suspects were arrested.
Arrested on May 5:
Ali Jafar ALAIWI, 18, of 1519 Colchester Rd in Woodbridge
Charged with murder
Henry CARABANTES, 18, of Earlham Ct in Woodbridge
Charged with murder
Malik CHILES, 19, of 4634 Evansdale Rd
Charged with murder
Court Date: June 3, 2016| Bond: All were held WITHOUT Bond
A 17 year old male juvenile of Woodbridge
Charged with murder
Court Date: Pending| Bond: Held at a Juvenile Detention facility
Homicide Investigation [Previously Released] – On May 4 at 8:49PM, officers responded to the 14000 block of Darbydale Ave to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victim, identified as Ishmael MANSARAY, made arrangements to meet in the above area. Once in the area, the victim was approached by a suspect. During the encounter, MANSARAY was shot. When officers arrived, it was determined that the MANSARAY was transported from the scene to a nearby shopping center. Officers located MANSARAY who was then transported to an area hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. Currently detectives do not believe this is random and have several suspects in custody with charges pending. The investigation continues and additional information will be released once it is made available. This is Prince William County’s 7th homicide of 2016.*
