Suspect charged in two burglaries reported to have occurred at same Haymarket residence

**UPDATES**

Residential Burglaries *ARREST – On Feb. 17, detectives from the Property Crimes Unit identified a suspect involved in two separate burglaries which occurred at the same residence located in the 6500 block of Old Carolina Rd in Haymarket. The accused was taken into custody and a search warrant was subsequently executed at his residence on Feb. 17.  Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
Arrested on February 17:
Dionte Ramon BROWN, 22, of 6513 Old Carolina Rd in Haymarket
Charged with 2 counts of burglary, 2 counts of grand larceny, 2 counts of larceny with intent to sell, 2 counts of obtaining money by false pretenses, 1 count of grand larceny of a firearm, and 1 count of possession of stolen property
Court Date: March 16, 2016 | Bond: Held WITHOUT Bond

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On February 10 at 7:30PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6500 block of Old Carolina Rd in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 7:00AM and 7:29PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the residence through a window which was found shattered. A firearm, gaming console, video games, and money were reported missing.

Residential Burglary [Previously Released] – On January 19 at 6:35PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 6500 block of Old Carolina Rd in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30AM and 6:00PM. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the residence. A gaming console and money were reported missing.

**INCIDENTS**

Shooting into Occupied Dwellings – On February 18 at 5:23PM, officers responded to the 15500 block of Banjo Ct in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting call. Several homeowners reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the above area. Upon further investigation, officers discovered multiple homes were damaged. Several bullets were found lodged in exterior and interior walls of the residences. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.

Commercial Burglary – February 17 at 10:03AM, officers responded to the Windwood Children’s Center located at 7830 Old Linton Hall Rd in Gainesville (20155) to investigate a burglary. An employee reported to police that the burglary occurred between 6:30PM on February 12 and 12:00AM on February 15. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry into the business. Entry is believed to have been made through an unsecured window.  A computer tablet was reported missing.
