Christmas Eve death after Dec. 17 crash on PW Parkway
Crash – Fatality – On December 17th at 7:10AM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the 4900 block of Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a crash.
The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2003 Hyundai Elantra was traveling eastbound on the Prince William Pkwy in the above area when the driver made an abrupt maneuver and turned in front of a 2006 Nissan Frontier. As a result, both vehicles collided before striking the center median.
The adult male driver of the Hyundai was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries on December 24th. The other driver was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. At this time, there are no other contributing factors in this crash.

The driver of the 2003 Hyundai Elantra was identified as Michael Thomas POWERS, 52, of Woodbridge
The driver of the 2006 Nissan Frontier was identified as a 51 year old man of Gainesville
