Victim starts yelling in response to alleged obscene gestures in Haymarket men’s room

Obscene Sexual Display – On Friday, April 2 at 10:05PM, officers responded to the Giant located at 5581 Merchants View Sq. in Haymarket (20169) to investigate an indecent exposure.

An employee, a 36-year-old female, reported to police that while cleaning inside the men’s restroom, she encountered an unknown man. During the encounter, the suspect stood and exposed himself while making inappropriate gestures.

The suspect initially refused to let the victim leave until she began yelling. The victim immediately reported the incident to the store manager, who confronted the suspect. Upon being confronted, the suspect fled the business. At no point was there any physical contact between the suspect and the victim. The investigation continues.

Suspect Description:
A white male, between 50-60 years old, approximately 5’7”, with short curly grey hair
