Home invasion in Woodbridge by two masked men, one thin, one large, posing as police officers

Burglary While Armed – On Easter Sunday, April 4 at 9:13PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 13900 blockof Mathews Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a home invasion. The investigation revealed that two unknown masked men approached a group of individuals who were outside of the above residence and identified themselves as police officers while brandishing a firearm. The suspects forced the group into the home where they were temporarily bound.

Before going into the home, one of the individuals from the group fled on foot and flagged down a passing motorist. One of the suspects who had followed the individual, approached the driver of the vehicle and identified himself as a law enforcement officer before threatening the driver while brandishing a firearm.

The suspects took a firearm, a laptop and jewelry before leaving the residence. Once outside of the home, the suspects fired multiple rounds into the air. No injuries or property damage were reported. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspects who were not located. Several shell casings were collected from the roadway on Mathews Dr. The investigation continues.

A black male, approximately 5’6”, with a thin build
Last seen wearing all black clothing with white Jordan shoes
A black male, approximately 5’6”, with a large build
Last seen wearing all black clothing and gloves with black Air Max shoes
