Worried about drug use in our community? Oct. 3 film may provide help

Virginia’s Attorney General Mark R. Herring will host a free public screening tonight, Monday, Oct. 3, of “Heroin: The Hardest Hit,” in Warrenton at 7 p.m.

Described as “a powerful, award-winning new documentary,”  the film was created by the Attorney General’s Office to raise awareness of the dangers of heroin and prescription drugs to try to stop the epidemic of fatal overdoses.

The documentary and screening events will feature Virginians sharing their own stories of addiction, overdose, and recovery.

In addition, medical professionals and law enforcement who are working to address the problem, will share their stories as well.

This evening’s Warrenton screening of “Heroin: The Hardest Hit” will be at Boys and Girls Club Gymnasium, 169 Keith Street, Warrenton, VA, at 7 p.m.
