Verndell Robinson to make community her priority in bid for Potomac Supervisor seat

Verndell Robinson, a Realtor, has announced she is a candidate for the Board of County Supervisors to represent the Potomac District.

She said in a news release, “From being born and raised by a single mother in inner city Philadelphia, to growing up on a dairy farm, to serving in our Navy, to being a realtor and active member of our business community right here in Prince William County,” Robinson continued, “I have developed the principles of hard work and service to others, which instilled in me an appreciation for my community and a love for making it the best it can be.”

“However, right now, data center developers are being allowed to encumber places we did not agree to. Tax rates have increased. Housing is becoming unaffordable, and crime is through the roof,” Robinson said. “Meanwhile transparency and the needs of the community have fallen on deaf ears.”

“It’s simple. Everyone deserves to love where we live. That means putting the needs of our families first and focusing on the issues that are important to them. As your Supervisor, I’ll be transparent and put constituents first. I’ll focus on responsible land development, affordable housing, and the welfare and safety of our communities.”“It’s time to make our community a priority,” she said in a statement.
