**INCIDENTS**
Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Shooting Investigation – On June 24 at 9:04PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 1600 block of Fort Fisher Court in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a shooting.
The investigation revealed that the victims, a 16 year old male juvenile and 25 year old man both of Dumfries, along with another resident were involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, identified as Cornelius Sean MCGRIFF. During the encounter, MCGRIFF brandished a handgun and shot the victims in the lower body.
When officers arrived, one of the victims was located in the residence then transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. A short time later, the second victim responded to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. The accused fled the scene prior to officers arriving in the area.
Following the investigation, officers obtained warrants for the arrest of the accused. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.
Wanted:
Cornelius Sean MCGRIFF, 23, of No Fixed Address
Described as a black male, 5’10”, 165lbs with black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for 2 counts of aggravated malicious wounding, 1 count for attempted aggravated malicious wounding, 3 counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and 3 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Strong Armed Robbery – On June 25 at 12:05PM, officers responded to the GNC located at 12359 Dillingham Square in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the area in silver SUV. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect. The investigation continues.

Black male, approximately 30 to 35 years of age, 5’08”, 180lbs, with black hair and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a red hoodie, blue jeans, and black boots
Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On June 26 at 12:15AM, officers responded to the 14000 block of Lindendale Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shots fired call. Several callers reported to police that multiple gunshots were heard in the above area. Officers checked the area and nothing was found at that time. At 10:00AM, officers checked the area again and located shell casings on a nearby pathway. No injuries or other property damage were reported.
Residential Burglaries – On June 26 at 9:51AM, officers responded to two residences located in the 2800 block of Compass Circle in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate two burglaries. The homeowners reported to police that entry was made into vehicles which were parked inside of attached garages sometime between 9:30PM on June 24 and 9:00AM on June 25. Entry is believed to have been made through open garage doors. A laptop, purse, a wallet, and miscellaneous items were reported missing.
Residential Burglary – On June 25 at 8:24PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5600 block of Olympia Fields Place in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred between 8:30PM on June 10 and 6:00PM on June 12. The investigation revealed that entry was made through an opened garage door. A black bag containing several holsters, flashlights, gloves, and a firearm magazine was reported missing.
Attempted Residential Burglary – On June 26 at 8:02PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 10400 block of Butterfield St in Manassas (20109) to investigate a burglary. The resident reported to police that unknown suspects had attempted to enter the home sometime between 8:00am on June 23 and 8:00pm on June 26. The investigation revealed that entry was attempted into the home through the front door which was found damaged. No entry is believed to have been made into the residence and no property was reported missing.
