Two charged with brandishing firearms, one in Haymarket, one in Manassas

Brandishing – On August 15 at 5:05PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the intersection of Dominion Valley Dr. and Merchant View Sq. in Haymarket (20169) to investigate a brandishing.

According to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, the investigation revealed that while stopped for the traffic signal at the above intersection, the victim, a 19-year-old woman, observed the unknown driver of the stopped vehicle next to her brandish a firearm towards her.

The victim immediately left the area and contacted the police as the accused pulled into a nearby business. At no time were shots fired nor was there any physical contact between the victim and the accused. Following the investigation, officers identified the accused as Stephen D SAVAGE, and obtained warrants for his arrest. On August 16, the accused turned himself in without incident.

Brandishing – On Sunday, Aug. 15 at 12:27PM, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to the Costco located at 10701 Sudley Manor Dr. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a brandishing.

The investigation revealed that the victim, a 62-year-old man, was driving in the parking lot when he encountered the accused who was walking close to the vehicle. The accused yelled and then struck the victim’s vehicle. The victim stopped the vehicle and confronted the accused.

During the encounter, the accused pushed the victim before brandishing a firearm towards him. A bystander intervened and the parties separated. Officers located the accused and detained him without incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Fadie MOHAMMAD, was charged.

Charged with brandishing and assault
