Sen. Surovell and fellow legislators to host town halls this coming weekend Jan. 18-19

State Senator Scott Surovell and fellow legislators, who represent the Prince William area, will host town halls throughout the 36th District in January and February. Below is a list of the times and locations for three site town halls this coming weekend, Jan. 18-19 and and one Facebook Town Hall on Jan. 21.

These are public events open to the press. People in attendance will have the opportunity to hear about progress in Richmond and ask questions about legislation as it progresses through the General Assembly.

Surovell said the legislators will discuss their legislative agendas and take questions from the audience. Some topics will include:

Man, woman charged with child neglect involving baby

On January 10 at 11:12PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a parking lot located in the 14400 block of Gideon Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a child neglect. The investigation revealed that the driver and the occupant of the vehicle were under the influence of alcohol and suspected narcotics. An 11-month-old boy was also inside of the vehicle and was not injured.
