Red Cross asks for care kits for hurricane victims; deliver Sept. 16 in Haymarket

Many of you have been asking what you can do to support the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. While the American Red Cross needs financial contributions and donations of blood, the National Capital Region has been asked to contribute towards a combined campaign and collect 1 Million “Comfort Care Kits.”
That’s where we need your help!

Here’s what you can do:

Join and commit yourself to the American Red Cross pledge of collecting 1 Million Comfort Care kits from across the National Capital Region.

Promote your participation in this great project and request items from your contacts: Social Media, Friends and neighbors, Faith Based Organization, School or Alumni Group.

To assemble these kits, collect the products on the list of needed items below. Please note that kits should consist of new and unused products in small or “trial” size. These items should be placed into a 1-gallon re-sealable bag.

You can deliver these products THIS Saturday, September 16, 2017 between 9 a.m. and noon.

Needed Items:
Razor (disposable)
Shave Cream
Washcloth (1)
Dental Floss
Hand Sanitizer
Kleenex 1 package
Snacks – (Non-Perishable / Non-Crushable items)
The following cleaning supplies are also greatly needed:

Industrial push brooms
Gloves for labor and cleaning
Dust masks
