PWC Crime Report for Feb. 16, 2024 - Shooting, assault, burglary in Woodbridge home

INCIDENTS
• Shooting into a Residential Dwelling –
OnThursday,  February 15, 2024 at 8:05PM,Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 2200 block of Scotch Ct. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shots fired call. The investigation revealed two unknown males were standing in the roadway and fired rounds, striking the home before fleeing on foot. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. The suspects were described as black males, one of whom was wearing a white jacket, and the other was wearing all black-colored clothing.

• Aggravated Assault – On Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 10:45PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Days Inn located at 7249 New Market Ct. in Manassas (20109) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 35-year-old man, was getting into his vehicle parked in the parking lot of the above area when he was approached by two unknown men. Both men assaulted the victim before one of them brandished an axe and struck the rear window of the victim’s vehicle. Both suspects then fled on foot. Minor injuries were reported. No additional injuries or property damage were reported.
Suspect Descriptions:
• A Hispanic male between 16-27 years old, approximately 5’8”, 160lbs., with black hair, and brown eyes
Last seen wearing a blue bandana covering his face, a grey jacket, and green pants

• Commercial Burglary – On February 15, 21024 at 10:27AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Smoketown Tobacco located at 14222 Smoketown Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed that sometime between 9:00PM on February 14 and 10:00AM on February 15, entry into the business was forced through the glass front door which was found damaged. An undisclosed amount of money and vape products were reported missing

Arrests
Malicious Wounding | Road Rage Related –
On February 15 at 12:55PM,  Prince William County officers responded to the 4200 block of Mulcaster Ter. in Dumfries (22025) to investigate a hit and run crash. The investigation revealed the victim, a 73-year-old man, was driving on Mulcaster Terrace when he was involved in a road rage incident with the driver of another vehicle, later identified as the accused. The victim stopped in the above area and during verbal altercation, the accused began driving her vehicle away and struck the victim’s vehicle. The victim then got out of his vehicle and the accused pulled back up and struck the victim with her vehicle before quickly driving out of the area. Responding officers located the accused nearby where they took her into custody without incident. The victim reported non-life threatening injuries.
Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Juana Adriana FLORES-MONTERO, was arrested.

• Strangulation | Domestic Related On Feb. 15 at 11:01AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Wood- bridge Forest Apartments located in the 1500 block of Tyler Cl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a domestic dispute.
The investigation revealed that the victim, a 23- year-old woman, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused pushed and struck the victim and when the victim attempted to contact emergency services, the accused took her phone and broke it. When the victim attempted to leave the apartment, the accused physically prevented her from leaving before putting his arm around her neck. The victim was eventually able to leave the apartment and went outside where a neighbor assisted her in contacting the police. The accused fled prior to police arriving at the apartment and went to the police station where he was detained without incident. The victim reported minor injuries. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Rudy Brandon RODRIGUEZ PIEROLA, was arrested.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On February 15 at 6:14PM,  Prince William County Police Prince William County Police Prince William County Police officers responded to the 9800 block of Liberia Ave. in Manassas (20110) for an intoxicated individual. The investigation fire and rescue personnel were treating a man, later identified as the accused, who showed signs of impairment. While inside the ambulance, the accused refused to cooperate and exited the ambu-
lance where he encountered officers. When officers attempted to detain the accused for public intoxication, he actively resisted. During the encounter, the accused grabbed an officer before being taken into custody without further incident. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jose Danilo PORTILLO, was arrested.
