Prince William student vocalists chosen to sing in Virginia Honors Choir

Nearly 30 outstanding Prince William County Schools’ student vocalists have been named members of the 2016 Virginia Honors Choir, one of the highest honors in their musical careers. Selection to this prestigious choir is a competitive process that pits local students against the top high school vocal talent in Virginia.

With 20 percent of the audition scores based on the students’ ability to sight-read music, a solid musical background is paramount and a PWCS World-Class Education delivers.

The choir will perform at the Virginia Music Educators Association convention on Saturday, Nov. 19, in Hot Springs, Va. The students representing PWCS are:

James Harris and Tanner Jaksa from Battlefield;

Trinity Diaz (alternate) from Brentsville District High School;

Delaney Lindquist. Elizabeth Johnson, Daniel Sims, Dillen Longo, Jaden Williams, Sam Henshaw, Mark Ziv, and Morgan Dennis (alternate) from Forest Park High School;

Beanie Konadu, Kimberlea McCloud, Isaiah Onna, Renee Sardelli, Ernesto Servin, Robert Walters, Selby Young, and Jamine Nixon (alternate) from Hylton High School;

Elizabeth Martin, Tyler Parowski, and William Riordan (alternate) from Patriot High School;

Emma Jenni and Zafar Syed from Potomac High School;

Andrew Neal and Andy Wilson from Stonewall Jackson High School; and
