• Commercial Burglary *ARREST | SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On Thursday, June 16, 2022 one of the suspects sought in connection with the June 6, 2022 burglary that was reported to have occurred at Fashion Time located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cl. in Woodbridge (22192) was arrested. During the investigation, Prince William County Police officers identified one of the suspects as Khadijah Ayesha CAMPBELL, who was located and served while at the Prince William-Manassas Regional Adult Detention Center where she is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges.
While investigating the incident, Master Police Officer Renee Carr, public information officer, said the officers also identified the second suspect as Anthony Wayne CANNADY Jr. and obtained warrants for his arrest. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.

Commercial Burglary [Previously Released] – On June 6 at 10:56AM, officers responded to Fashion Time located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cl. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a burglary. The store manager reported to police that while approaching the unopened business, he observed a man and woman inside. The manager confronted the male suspect before both individuals fled the store. Upon inspecting the business, the manager reported multiple watches were missing. The investigation revealed that the suspects gained entry into the store through the security gate which was found damaged. Video surveillance footage showed the female suspect fleeing the location with items that match the description of those missing from the store.
INCIDENTS
• Death Investigation – On Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 12:58PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Leesylvania State Park located at 2005 Ludwig Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a missing swimmer. The investigation revealed that a man and two acquaintances were swimming in the area of the boating docks when the man went under the water. Both acquaintances attempted to locate the man while a bystander contacted the police. Members of the police Marine Unit responded and assisted with locating the man. The victim, identified as a 22-year-old man, was then removed from the water.
Rescue personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased. The body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and determination of cause of death. At this time, there is no foul play concerning the death. The investigation continues, according to MPO Renee Carr, public information officer.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 6:17PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 9600 block of Brentsville Rd. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a shots fired call. Residents reported to police that gunshots were heard in the above area before an older model white Jeep Cherokee was seen driving away. Upon checking the area, residents located shell casings in the roadway which were collected by officers. No injuries or property damage were reported. There is no suspect description at this time.
• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 4:26AM, officers responded to the Riverwoods Apartments located in the 2700 block of Dettingen Pl. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a group of individuals being loud and arguing. While responding to the scene, officers were informed a gunshot was heard in the same area. Upon arriving in the parking lot of the above area, officers located a group of people, none of whom was injured. The investigation revealed that while two women were sitting in a vehicle parked in the parking lot, an unknown man approached the vehicle where a verbal altercation ensued. At one point during the altercation, the man retrieved a firearm and fired a round into the parking lot area. The suspect fled prior to police arriving in the area. No injuries or property damage reported. Officers located a shell casing in the parking lot.

• Reckless Handling of a Firearm – On Friday, June 17, 2022 at 8:16AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to Lake Ridge Park located at 12350 Cotton Mill Dr. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate found property. The investigation revealed that earlier that morning, at approximately 12:29AM, residents reported hearing gunshots in the above area. Initially, no evidence of a shooting was located. Later that morning, community members contacted police after locating shell casings in the roadway near the park entrance gate. No injuries or property damage were reported.
• Brandishing of a Firearm – On Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 6:07PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 3900 block of Oakdale Cl. in Triangle (22172) to investigate a brandishing. The investigation revealed that a 17-year-old female juvenile and a 21-year-old man, were sitting outside on the porch of the residence when an unknown vehicle with tinted windows stopped in front of the home. During the encounter, two unknown occupants of the vehicle began yelling at the victims before one of them brandished a firearm towards the victims. The vehicle quickly drove out of the area and the victims notified a family member who contacted the police. At no point were shots fired during the incident. No additional suspect description is available at this time.
ARRESTS
• Fatal Crash Investigation – On Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 9:44PM, investigators with the Prince William County Police Department’s Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Old Bridge Rd. and Cape Cod Ct. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian. The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2016 Ford Focus was traveling westbound on Old Bridge Rd., just past Cape Cod Ct., when the vehicle left the roadway and drove onto the sidewalk where the vehicle then struck a pedestrian who was walking his dog. The vehicle continued traveling before it struck a communications box and a Dominion Power pole, causing the pole to snap and fall into the roadway. Responding officers and bystanders provided first aid to the pedestrian until rescue personnel arrived. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of the injuries sustained during the crash. The dog, identified as a male Akita between 5-7 years old, died at the scene. Investigators determined the driver of the vehicle, identified as the accused, was intoxicated, and took him into custody. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Banze Mwenze GENTIL, was arrested.

• Strangulation | Domestic Related – On Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:20PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to a residence located in the 5200 block of Hoadly Rd. in Manassas (20112) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 29-year-old woman, reported to police that she and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were outside when a verbal altercation escalated. During the encounter, the accused grabbed the victim’s throat before she was able to temporarily separate from the accused and re-enter the home. When the victim exited the home later that evening, the accused approached her and struck her multiple times before the victim was able to contact the police. The victim was treated at the scene by rescue personnel. Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Timothy Lee WILLIS, who was taken into custody on June 18 without incident.

• Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On Friday, June 17, 2022 at 8:00PM, while investigating an unrelated incident, officers were informed of a domestic that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 7500 block of Pine St. in Manassas (20111) on June 6. The investigation into the domestic revealed the victim, identified as a 14-year-old male juvenile, was struck by a family member, identified as the accused, multiple times and was treated for non-life threatening injuries at an area hospital the following day. Officers determined the domestic incident was not previously reported and attempted to detain the accused, who actively resisted and pushed the officers. After a brief struggle, the accused was secured without further incident. Minor injuries were reported by an officer. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Edbryan Ormond WILSON, was arrested.

• Strong-Arm Robbery – On Sunday, June 19, 2022 at 10:54AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Exxon located at 7113 Sudley Rd. in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. An employee of the store reported to police that an unknown man, later identified as the accused, entered the store, and went behind the service counter where he began taking tobacco products. When the employee attempted to stop the accused, he pushed the employee before fleeing the store. While checking the area, officers located a man walking nearby who matched the description provided to police and detained him. During the investigation, the man was found in possession of the tobacco products that were reported missing. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Adam Samih HELMY, was arrested.

• Attempted Malicious Wounding – On Monday, June 20, 2022 at 10:07PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 9500 block of Loma Dr. in Bristow (20136) to investigate an individual with a weapon. The victim, a 33-year-old man, reported to police as he was parking his vehicle, another vehicle quickly parked in front of his vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, identified as the accused, approached the victim still inside his vehicle with a knife in his hand. The accused put the knife next to the victim’s face and made threatening statements before returning to his vehicle and driving away. During the investigation, officers identified the accused and located him at his residence where they took him into custody without incident. No injuries were reported by the victim. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Joshua Noorodean SADR, was arrested.
