Police identify suspect in Nov. 3 robbery in Woodbridge but unable to locate her


Strong-Armed Robbery *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On January 8, detectives from the Prince William County Police department’s Robbery Unit identified one of the suspects involved in a robbery which occurred in the area of York Dr and Richmond Ave in Woodbridge (22191) on Nov. 3. Following the investigation, detectives obtained warrants for the arrest of this suspect, identified as Brittany Samantha SPANN. Attempts to locate SPANN have been unsuccessful. The investigation continues.

Described as a black female, 5’07”, 125lbs, with black hair and brown eyes
Wanted for robbery and malicious wounding

Strong-Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On November 3 at 1:36AM, officers responded to the area of York Dr and Richmond Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 30-year-old man, was walking in the above area with a female when they were approached by two unknown men. During the encounter, the men assaulted the victim and took his cell phone, clothes and an undisclosed amount of money. After the incident, the men and the female fled the area in an unknown vehicle. The victim stated he met the female at an area shopping center before returning to a home on York Dr. At one point, the victim and the female were involved in a verbal altercation. The female originally left the home then returned a short time later to retrieve marijuana. The two parties eventually left the home and walked to the above area where the victim encountered the suspects. No weapons were seen. The victim sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries as a result of the assault and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim was unable to describe the assailants. This incident does not appear to be random.


Attempted Residential Burglary – On January 9 at 11:50AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 15000 block of Jarrell Pl in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary in progress. A neighbor reported to police that he heard a loud noise outside his home. When he went to check, he saw two unknown males attempting to break into the rear door of a neighbor’s home. The two suspects fled the area on foot when the neighbor yelled at them. Officers searched the area for the suspects who were not located. No entry was made into the home. The investigation continues.
Suspect Descriptions:
Black male, between 19 & 21 years of age, 5’09”-5’11” with a thin build and black short afro
Last seen wearing a red sweater and blue jeans

Black male, between 18 & 21 years of age, 5’09”-5’11”, 160-200lbs, with a medium build and black short afro. There is no clothing description available at this time.

Commercial Burglary – On January 9 at 7:52AM, officers responded to ASAP Auto Recycling & Salvage located at 14823 Dumfries Rd in Manassas (20112) to investigate a burglary. The business owner reported to police that the burglary occurred around 9:25PM on January 8. The investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry. A jump box and catalytic converters were reported missing.
