On St. Pat’s Day wee hours, someone makes off with computer, jewelry, tools in car parked in garage

Residential Burglary – On March 17 at midnight, Prince William County police officers responded to a residence located in the 14200 block of Madrigal Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that the burglary occurred sometime between 10:00PM and 11:40PM. The investigation revealed that entry was made into the attached garage through the door which was found unsecured. No entry was made into the residence.

Entry was made into the vehicle parked inside the garage. A computer, jewelry and tools were reported missing.

Attempted Commercial Burglary – On March 16 at 8:35AM, officers responded to Rising Stars Daycare located at 17926 Main St. in Dumfries (22026) to investigate an attempted burglary. The investigation revealed that at approximately 12:19AM, an unknown man was observed on video surveillance footage climbing onto the front porch and attempting to enter the business through the secured front door. When the suspect could not enter into the business, he began to rummage through the property on the porch. A roll of paper was reported missing.
Suspect Description:
A light-skinned male, unknown age, with shoulder length hair
Last seen wearing a baseball style hat, a coat with the hood up, loose-fitting jeans, dark colored
shoes with a light-colored sole, carrying a backpack and a walking stick
