Mental Health Awareness Event for 12th year on Oct. 11

Prince William County’s Community Services Board will host its annual afternoon of Mental Health Awareness at the Dr. A.J. Ferlazzo Building, 15941 Donald Curtis Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22191, on Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 3 to 7:30 p.m. to educate, inspire and dispel myths about mental illness.

At 3 p.m., Elect to Connect, with networking and shopping. Mindfulness, acupuncture, yoga and more. Purchase art created by mental health consumers. Network with professionals and service providers in Prince William County.

5 p.m., Formal Program, Inspire. Hear Erin Lessin Mahone, author, storyteller, producer on Claiming My Worth: A Regular Woman Discovers her Power.

6:30 p.m. Free dinner by Shawn’s BBQ and cakepops from Confections Cupcakery. Reservations not required.
