Man tried to grab purse of of woman at McDonald’s in Manassas at midnight


Malicious Wounding *ARREST – On November 6, Kiymonte Darnell RUNNER, wanted for an assault which occurred in the 2300 block of Battery Hill Cir in Woodbridge on October 2, was located and arrested.

Kiymonte Darnell RUNNER, 23, of 13661 Mary’s Way, Apt 202, in Woodbridge
Charged with malicious wounding

Malicious Wounding [Previously Released] – On October 2 at 2:54PM, officers responded to the 2300 block of Battery Hill Cir in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a fight in progress. When officers arrived, they located a victim, a 35-year-old man of Woodbridge, suffering from a laceration to the leg. The investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a verbal altercation with the accused, an acquaintance, which escalated. During the encounter, the accused displayed a knife and cut the victim on the leg. The accused then struck the victim on the head with a blunt object. A struggle ensued between the two men until several witnesses intervened and separated them. The accused then fled the area on a motorcycle. The victim was eventually transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant for the accused, identified as Kiymonte Darnell RUNNER. Attempts to locate the accused have been unsuccessful.


Attempted Strong-Armed Robbery – On November 7 at 12:00AM, officers responded to the McDonalds located at 8203 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 46-year-old woman, was about to walk into the business when she was approached by an unknown male. During the encounter, the suspect attempted to grab the victim’s purse off her arm. A struggle ensue and the victim fell to the ground. The suspect fled the area on foot without taking any property. Minor injuries were reported. A police K-9 searched the area for the suspect who was not located. The investigation continues.

Black male, in his early 20s, 6’00”, 185-190lbs, with an unkempt afro
Last seen wearing tan jacket, dark colored shirt, and tan pants

Residential Burglary – On November 6 at 5:03PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 5500 block of Saint Charles Dr in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a burglary. The homeowner reported to police that sometime between 11:00PM on November 5 and 3:00PM on November 6, two dirt bikes were taken from an attached garage. There were no signs of forced entry.
Stolen Property:
A blue 2007 Yamaha TTR 50 dirt bike
A green 2007 Kawasaki KLF 110 dirt bike
