Man cut during altercation in Manassas; police look for exposure suspect in Woodbridge


Malicious Wounding – On September 27 at 5:57PM, officers responded to an apartment located in the 9900 block of Shallow Creek Lp in Manassas (20109) to investigate a stabbing. The victim, a 31-year-old man, reported to police that he and the accused, an acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the two men began shoving each other and, at one point, the accused retrieved a kitchen knife. The accused then cut the victim in his hand causing a minor injury. The accused was intoxicated and found to be in possession of marijuana. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Barry Andrew WAGSTAFF, was arrested.

Indecent Exposure – On September 27 at 12:29PM, officers responded to the area of Harbor Dr and Old Bridge Rd in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an indecent exposure. The caller reported to police that an unknown man was observed sitting in a van in a parking lot near the above location. The man was exposing himself and making obscene gestures towards the caller and others. The man never exited the vehicle or make further contact with the caller. The man eventually left the area. Officers are following up on a possible lead in the investigation. The investigation continues.
