K-9 unit locates Woodbridge man charged with 7 counts in abduction case

Abduction | Domestic Related – On Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021 at 10:38PM, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to a residence located in the 4400 block of Dale Blvd. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a domestic. The victim, a 53-year-old woman, reported to police that, an acquaintance, identified as the accused, entered her home without her consent where he then grabbed her. The accused then forced the victim into a bedroom where he refused to allow her to leave by physically blocking the door. The accused then inappropriately touched the victim before demanding her phone. Eventually, the victim was able to separate from the accused and left the home to contact the police. The accused initially left with the victim’s purse before returning shortly after, leaving the purse outside of the home.

A police K-9 unit searched the area and located the accused at a nearby business where he was taken into custody without incident. While investigating, the victim also reported that prior to the accused entering her home, he called her several times. Officers also determined the victim was found to have an active protective order against the accused. No injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Jose Santos Rosario SANCHEZ, was arrested.

Charged with 2 counts of domestic assault & battery, 1 count of abduction, 1 count of burglary, 1 count of petit larceny, and 2 counts of protective order violation
