Jan. 26 Pollinator Listening Session in Warrenton cancelled, to be rescheduled

The listening session for The Pollinator Protection Plan in Warrenton scheduled for Tuesday, January 26, has been cancelled due to road conditions and will be rescheduled at a later time, according to Elaine Lidholm, spokesman for Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS).

VDACS will send out an announcement when the meeting is rescheduled and also post information on Twitter.com/VaAgriculture/ and Facebook.com/VaAgriculture.

VDACS will hold seven meetings around the Commonwealth to give farmers, landowners, beekeepers and pesticide applicators an opportunity to provide input on the development of the plan.

Development of a Virginia Pollinator Protection Plan is part of a national effort by state and federal departments and agencies to reverse pollinator losses and help restore pollinator populations.
