Guns involved in two incidents reported to county police on Oct. 1

Armed Robbery – On October 1 at 1:44PM, officers responded to the 1700 block of Varsity Dr in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 25-year-old man, reported to police that he arranged to sell some cell phones through Craigslist to an unknown male. During the encounter, the male brandished a handgun and took the cell phones before driving away in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.
Suspect Description:
Black male of an unknown age, 6’00”, 200lbs, with black, shoulder length dreadlocks
Last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a white design and black pants

Shooting into an Unoccupied Dwelling – On October 1 at 8:42PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12100 block of Brevard Park Ct in Bristow (20136) to investigate a destruction of property. The homeowner reported to police that a bullet hole was discovered in the front portion of the residence. No injuries or other property damage was reported.
