Gov. Northam’s classic car show at Capitol rescheduled to Sept. 29 due to approaching storm

Governor Ralph Northam announced Sept. 11 that the Governor’s Capitol Classic Car Show is postponed due to inclement weather predicted for this weekend and has been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29.

The family friendly event will take place on Capitol Square and will feature a variety of classic cars from around Virginia.

It is part of the Governor’s OnTheSquareVA employee engagement campaign and is a partnership with Classic Automotive Events of Virginia.

The event, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., is free to the public and also will feature food trucks, an open house at the Executive Mansion and Capitol tours.
