Fight between two groups in Woodbridge Sept. 4 concludes with arrest of six

Reckless Handling of a Firearm | Malicious Wounding by Mob | Residential Burglary – On September 4 at 2:03AM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Queen’s Gambit located at 12730 Black Forest Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a fight.

The investigation revealed that two groups of males were involved in a verbal altercation on the back patio of the business which escalated into a physical altercation. At some point, one of the suspects, later identified as John Patrick FORD, retrieved a firearm from his vehicle in the parking lot and discharged one round into the air.

The parties continued to fight until officers arrived and attempted to detain all the parties involved.  A short time later, officers responded to a residence located in the 4600 block of Montega Dr to investigate a burglary in progress. The investigation revealed that one of the suspects from the fight had fled prior to officers arriving.

The suspect, later identified as Stanley Allen SINGLETON, Jr., forced his way into the home then was confronted by the homeowner at gunpoint. Officers arrived and took SINGLETON into custody without further incident. Following the investigation, all of the parties involved were arrested. Minor injuries were reported as a result of the fight between the parties at the business.
