Area hospital treats victim for deep facial cuts; suspect charged with malicious wounding
Malicious Wounding – On August 2 at 12:00PM, Prince William County police officers responded to investigate an assault that was reported to have occurred at a home in the 3500 block of Forestdale Ave. in Woodbridge (22193) earlier that morning.
The investigation revealed that the victim, a 34-year-old man, and an acquaintance, identified as the accused, were involved in an altercation. During the encounter, the victim sustained deep cuts and lacerations to his face. Officers determined the accused was the assailant.
The victim went to an area hospital for treatment of significant injuries and police were contacted.
Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Puja MUKHERJEE, was arrested.
