The School Resource Officer assigned to Brentsville District High School on Aden Road, Nokesville, was notified Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024 of vandalism inside the school.
On Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024 members of the community are invited to join members of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors and others in a remembrance ceremony to honor and remember those who died during the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. The ceremony will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the 9/11 Liberty Memorial Fountain, 1 County Complex Ct, Woodbridge, Va.

The investigation revealed the operator of a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling westbound on Old Bridge Rd. approaching Occoquan Rd. at a high rate of speed when the operator lost control and separated from the motorcycle before sliding under and being run over by a 2009 Roll-off Dumpster truck. The motorcycle operator was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The expansion will support Canon’s new initiative to scale a unique method of isolating natural silk protein to create a solution with applications for multiple industries. Canon Virginia, which has been in Newport News for 40 years, will retrain 30 employees to staff the new line.
There is no admission charge. Free parking is available in the Virginia War Memorial surface lot and parking deck at 621 South Belvidere Street, Richmond, VA 23220. The Virginia War Memorial will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for visitation and the documentary film, A New Century, A New War, will be shown all day in the Memorial’s Reynolds Theater.
